Steve's Bio
First of all, Thanks for taking the time to check out my bio. After taking some time off to battle Cancer, I am back. It was a hard year off and a very tough battle. I have to admit, a lot harder than I thought it would be. If not for my wife, family and friends, I may have not won the battle. I couldn't believe the people that came to our aid in one way or another. I could feel all the love, support and prayers. It helped me tremendously when I felt that I couldn't go on any more. My wife wouldn't let me quit and the love I felt from her was truly amazing. She is a very strong lady. She never left my side, She was always with me giving me support, love and encouragement. It may be hard to believe, but this dreaded disease has brought us even closer together than ever.

I really don't know what the Big Man upstairs has planned for me, but after living through cancer, I know He has some plans for me. I want to thank the management of "The River". They kept my job open for me the entire time. I never felt like I had to rush back to work. I always looked forward to the phone calls, letters and cards from employees of 106.3 that gave me so much encouragement.
Now, I have a few words on how this battle has changed my outlook on life. I always try to look on the bright side. I try to be very optimistic but still realistic. I know my priorities. I realize the most important things in life are family and friends. If there is one phrase that I may live by it is, "Don't win the battle and lose the war" and also something that I heard a comedian say a long time ago, which is very appropirate- "Every day above ground is a good day"!
Take care my friends.
