The Market Street bridge will be closed from January to November 2010 for its first round of repairs.  The bridge will remain open until March 2011 and then shut down again for about seven months until October 2011.  The work is being funded with ten million dollars in stimulus funds.  In addition to the repairs, the West Virginia Division of Highways will repaint the bridge.  They actually asked for votes on what color to paint it.  With 14,543 votes, a blue and gold color scheme was chosen.  The other choices were green and gold, blue and gray, and brown and cream.  Click here for the website where you can see the results!
